After the stranger had left, I remained lost in my thoughts for quite some time before finally snapping back to reality and making my way home. As I exited the car, I found Alpha Matthew waiting on the front porch, sipping on a glass of wine that seemed to have materialised from thin air.

"You look rather sad, my dear. Are you still upset about the roses mishap?" he inquired, his voice filled with concern.

"Not really. It's just that the car broke down, and it infuriated me. I had to pull over on the side of the road, and luckily, a peculiar stranger was kind enough to help me. If I had called you, I probably would have been stuck in the car for two hours because you never answered your phone," I grumbled, voicing my frustration.

"Oh, my poor soulmate. But you're alright, aren't you? No unwanted injuries, I hope?" Alpha Matthew set down his glass and proceeded to examine my body, making sure I was unharmed.

"I experienced a car breakdown, not a robbery," I retorted, rolling my eyes.
