Chapter Twenty

The first part of the ceremony was beautiful. The couple said their vows and the pack cheered as they kissed. They followed it up with lots of food and dancing. Leah danced with Ray for a while, before one of the teenagers requested a dance with her. Ray growled unhappily, but Leah just laughed softly. She kissed Ray on the cheek and whispered in his ear just soft enough for only him to hear. “Play nice, my love, and I promise to reward you later.”

Ray’s gaze heated, and he kissed her deeply for a moment before reluctantly releasing her. “Fine. I’ll play nice.” He turned and glared at the boy who was standing next to them with a shy blush on his cheeks. With a sigh, Ray patted the pup on his shoulder and walked over to sit down next to Francesca who laid her head on his shoulder with a chuckle. He poked her gently on the arm with a mock glare on his face. “Oh, shut up!”
