Amber intended to retaliate against Dave and Gwen for their past actions, but what was about to unfold might not bode well for either of them. Adrian's facial expressions prevented Amber from leaving. She couldn't express her joy at gaining Adrian's approval, as Adrian strongly disapproved of everything they had put her through. Now, Adrian's concern was how Dave and Gwen had treated the love of his life.

"I told you to go to your room." Adrian said again.

"But don't harm them. I brought them here as witnesses of what happened to me. I didn't bring them here for you to harm them.”

"I promise I won't harm them, but I don't understand the kind of heart you have.” Adrian said, his tone and looks reflecting his anger. Amber couldn't disobey Adrian's command, even though it felt harsh. She left the presence of the three of them and went to her room, her heart pounding. This wasn't what she had expected.
