Lila stretched her overly tired back and hummed in satisfaction as she laid down on the top of her freshly made bed, taking a deep breath the exhausted Beta settled in to enjoy her very precious, rare silent moment when her phone began to cry like an angry child in her pocket. Groaning and fishing the small device from her pants, Lila worried her eyebrows together when Jay’s name popped up on the screen. The Beta took a deep breath before answering, “Jay, good to hear from you,” she said in a calm tone and smiled when the hunter laughed nervously, “Ed made it home safe, but I have a few questions about my truck,” she continued and Jay began to stutter, “well you see Beta, it umm, well, there was this uhh--.” Lila started to laugh low in her throat, “don’t worry yourself too much about it Jay, Ed explained most of what happened and as long as you Moxie and Mj pay for repairs or replacement you won't be punished by the Alpha or myself any further, ok?”

As the two hunters approached the curve of the building, we met them with four smiling faces. Two male and two female omegas flanked the pair and the moment one female reached out to touch Jay’s cheek Moxie began to snarl and growl. Jay stepped back, out of reach, but before he could console his rumbling companion the sound of someone clapping furiously caught their attention, “name’s Maggie boys,” the woman stopped and as she laid eyes on Moxie, her mouth fell open and she shrieked before jumping into the irritated looking hunter's arms. “Moxie you scrawny little lightnin bug,” Maggie squealed as Moxie peeled the overexcited woman from his torso, “it’s good to see you too Maggie,” he grumbled, and the older woman chuckled under her breath as she stepped backward and glanced between the two young wolves standing in front of her, “who’s the hottie,” she asked as she jerked her chin in Jay’s direction.

Azreal pinched his nose between his fingers as he called out to his assassin for the third time, “Mj!” his voice boomed through the phone, and he finally heard the sound of her voice, “hu? I’m sorry Alpha can you, can you repeat that?” she asked in a far off tone and Azreal sighed heavily, “I will ask Honey what she knows and maybe send her back into the club to find out what she can but I don't think it's necessary to interview her for that,” Azreal paused as he watched the woman in question laugh and talk with his oldest daughter, “she and Brie seem to be getting closer every day.” The Alpha’s statement rendered his hunter speechless again, and he chortled, “still with us Mj,” he asked, and she laughed, “yes Alpha, I was just curious how that worked itself into fruition,” and Azreal answered with a hearty laugh, “Well I have this wayward wolf in my pack, real pain in my ass,” he laughed, “she taught me its more important to be honest with my childre

Mj handed Moxie his phone and began to rub her temples as Moxie eyed his sister with amusement, “good news from home?” he asked through a chuckle and Mj only rolled her eyes, “The Alpha agrees it would be best to send Honey into the club for information, but there is no telling how long that might take or if she will even be able to get us anything useful, so I think we need to keep digging,” Mj shook her head and winced. Moxie reached for her arm and she jerked away with a snarl, “I’m fine Mox, it’s just a headache,” Mj snapped and both Jay and Moxie shot one another a concerned look as Mj continued, “If your brother was in the business of buying and selling flesh then he had to be in with some pretty questionable characters… clients.” As Mj spoke, she watched her brothers carefully, they were standing in a clearing just outside the hustle bustl

It didn’t take Mj long to track down her brothers. The sound of shouting led her to them faster than tracking their scent. As she breached the clearing, both men were shoving one another with enough veracity, Mj could hear the thud of skin to skin contact. She kept her eyes cast as high as possible as Moxie was now human and naked, but she couldn’t keep from laughing a little as she attempted to clear her throat and let them know they had an audience. Jay spun around with a snarl as Moxie just crossed his arms and leaned on one hip. Mj shook her head as Jay’s posture relaxed, and he pulled his fingers through his hair. “do you ever have clothes on?” she asked, shaking her skull and Moxie just shrugged, “covered in ink little sister, don't need 'em,” Mj cocked an eyebrow as she looked from one hunter to the other. “You have fun

Mj wasn't sure how long she followed Arzon trying to play his stupid game of keep up. He attempted to lose her in the treeline above, but she followed him easily and actually took note as to how sloppy his movements were compared to Azreal, that thought earned her an amused chortle from Theron and Mj almost ran straight into a tree as the emotional response became slightly distracting for her. As she gathered herself, Mj ducked behind an overgrown bush while Arzon slipped from the canopy and started running on all fours through the sludge at the edge of the water. Mj moved through the overgrowth following him when she saw a cluster of fallen trees covered in layers of moss and decaying vegetation. Mj licked her teeth behind her closed mouth as Arzon led them in a half circle around the outskirts of some newer looking homes and as she was about to ask him why the hell they were casing houses, he stopped at the open backyard of one dwelling in particular and crouched behind a large cluster of dense foliage. Mj opened her mouth again to ask Arzon what the point of this was when she noticed he seemed transfixed by something inside the house and as she let her gaze wander inside, the occupants looked happy as they moved around their home.
