I packed some of my valuables and permitted myself to get off work early.

Before the elevator doors closed, Jonathan stepped forward and followed me inside.

He stopped beside me with a straight posture and hands in his suit pockets. Jonathan looked at me with slight displeasure. "Do you know why I came to this company?"

I looked ahead expressionlessly. "I don't want to know."

"Yes, I did forget that you can't eat oranges." Even though he knew he was wrong, Jonathan could not lower his ego. This conflict manifested as frustration in Jonathan. He turned me around to face him. "But I'm making up for it, right?"

I lowered my eyes and kept silent.

"Any company is better than yours. I came here solely to take you home." Jonathan said seriously, "Quincey, I won't ask why you left me. As long as you come with me now, I can forgive you for everything."

However, I only sighed helplessly.
