Chapter 139

Nate

Axel was still sleepy while I put on his little toothbrush and brushed his teeth gently. He let himself be cleaned quietly without resisting, with his eyes closed and his body staggered from sleep. I had him standing on the floor of the main bathroom sink and held him with one arm around the pelvis as I quickly prepared him for the hospital.

He was still wearing his spiderman pajamas, his hair was completely ruffled, and his head slowly followed the movements I made to brush his teeth.

After the hourglass dropped the last speck, I pulled the toothbrush out of her mouth.

"Spit," I ordered, and Axel did as I told him, then opened his eyes and looked at the hourglass.

When he saw satisfied that the hourglass was empty, he nodded proudly and then looked at me through the mirror as I rolled my eyes. I picked him up and turned on the water and then I washed his face gently. 

Once clean we went back to the room. The room was dark
