“Of course not, why would we fight?” I answered back rapidly, startled by Letizia’s sudden question.

Our conversation was going pretty well on a another topic, but she just had to ask me that question. I thought I had already distracted her and caught her attention on a different topic. My eyes just went wide at her sudden question.

“Come on, Lucrezia. Small fights with your husband is not something that you should be ashamed of. Couples fight most of the time. I was expecting this to happen actually,” Letizia replied casually not making a big deal out of the issue.

“I’m telling you the truth, we are not in a fight.” I repeated more firmly this time. “Wait… You are expecting this?” I asked her, my face changes from being annoyed to surprised.
