28: Domestic scene

Bianca clanging pots and pans together in the kitchen, in the name of cooking. Bianca singing off key, happily in the kitchen. Bianca dancing around in the kitchen as she made her awful breakfast.

It was a pretty domestic scene and it felt completely normal waking up to seeing her like that. It just felt so right and she had offered me breakfast like it was something she had always done, fitting so easily into a role I was giving her in my head.

There was a warm, pleasant feeling bursting in my chest at the sight of her so free and so happy. It made me want to store these moments in a bottle to keep forever. It made me want to kidnap her and keep her in my home so that she spends these moments only with me. She was back to her confident, bubbly self, so different from last night when she had been a hollow echo of her real self.

It still troubled me how quick she had been to make a switch and sweep everything from last night under the carpet. I wanted to probe, I wanted to k
