Chapter 25

“Drink this.”

Aiden suddenly dropped something right in front of me and when I took a closer look, it was a medicine. My brows furrowed into a straight line as my mind raced with various possibilities of what this item could be. I carefully picked it up with my hand and examined the packaging, confused as to why he would have something like this in his possession. As I studied the item more closely, questions started to pop into my head. Was Aiden taking this medicine? Why did he want me to take this?

“What’s this?” I asked timidly.

“It’s birth control.”

There was an uncomfortable silence that seemed to hang in the air between us. After we had shared such a passionate moment earlier, Aiden brought me into the kitchen to share breakfast. He had cooked the meal himself while we were still both naked, wearing nothing but an apron around his waist in an attempt to cover himself up.
