The expensive sound of my iPhone going off jolted me back to reality; I was completely focused on my writing. I closed my laptop and picked up my phone to see three texts which I opened immediately. Two were from Goldie and one from Grey. You all know which one I opened first.
Grey😍: Hey, are you free today, there's a carnival opening tonight, would you like to go with me?
Me: Of course, I'll see you later.
Then I opened River's text.
Goldie: Hey babe, sorry I've been too busy lately. Classes and shit, y'know?
Goldie: There's a carnival tonight, let me make it up to you by taking you there, my treat.
