My eyes slowly opened and I was blinded by the oddly bright lights. Blinking a couple of times to get used to the light, I finally opened my eyes fully and remembered what exactly happened before I passed out. That remembrance was a very big mistake because immediately, the tears formed up in my eyes and we're pouring uncontrollably, I couldn't hold in the sobs as I cried out loud, not even bothering to get up or anything. The sound of the door aggressively opening didn't even bother me as I kept on crying. I felt fingers running through my hair and I didn't even give a fuck who it was, I couldn't even see anything, I couldn't bring myself to stop crying. 

Gerald is dead. Gerald died. Gerald died and I couldn't do anything about it. Pictures of his body floating on the lake filled my mind, clouded my empty and blurry visions
