Chapter 6 - New World
Selene was sitting alone in the armchair. Alice abandoned her because she had to help Teresa with something.
- Hello... again.- she heard a familiar voice above. When Selene looked up, she saw Eleazar smiling friendly at her.- Hey.- she replied easily.Eleazar crouched down beside the armchair so that could hear her well.- I would like you to tell me something... Why back then, in the cafe, were you looking at me with such horror when I turned towards your table?- he asked in surprise.- "Oh God, he noticed that..."- it flew through Selene's head.- Eh...- she sighed.- I mean... It's kind of embarrassing.- Selene stuttered, rolling her eyes.- Go ahead.- Eleazar encouraged her with a warm smile. Only now did she realize how handsome this boy was, and his eyes were blazing with some strange light. He took her hand lightly now, waiting for an answer, and his touch made Selene shudder slightly. Eleazar quite eagerly flirted with Selene, and she too fell under his spell. He was handsome and there was something about him that clearly attracted girls.- So you're saying that Jennifer is crazy about me?- he raised an eyebrow slightly upward.- Yeah. That's great.- Eleazar replied, clearly a bit disappointed by this word.- You're sad...- Selene remarked. She felt sorry for the boy because probably hurt his feelings now.

The next day, Selene woke up very early. All night she dreamed of a mysterious man whom she met yesterday. Now her only dream was to see him again, talk for a while, find out his name... When Damon was back in the Monroe family's garden, his heart began to beat faster. Out of nowhere, there was a passionate desire to meet this girl again inside of him. He knew she would probably kill him - after all, she was a sorceress and her job was to wipe out demons - but that didn't seem to scare Damon off. Rita sat in silence for a moment with her eyes closed, as if she wanted to gather enough strength for what she was about to tell. The next day, Selene woke up in a great mood. Yesterday's lesson with Elisabeth, Rita and aunt Meredith was surprisingly easy for her. Admittedly, she had to struggle to focus enough on her task, but according to Rita, she was doing much better than the previous "chosen one". Therefore, she was very proud of herself.Selene got out of bed, stretching a few times, then went to the bathroom and took a shower. Thanks to his demonic abilities, Damon literally flew over the wall to the garden at the back of the Monroe family house, then crept among the trees, searching for the one person he was looking for. It wasn't even five minutes when he finally saw her again. She was just walking outside, breathing deeply, and shortly after headed towards the "wild" part of the garden. Damon followed her until the girl stopped right next to a fallen tree at the end of the garden and sat down on a huge log, slightly stroking its bark. After all, this dream was better than the old one, because Selene knew who was persecuting her, and thanks to recently revealed power, she didn't feel so vulnerable.Selene opened her eyes slowly and looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table - it was showing three in the morning.
