Chapter 56; So many leads

Benjy paced Eileen’s porch after knocking severally and not getting any response. At dusk Rosa walked to the porch, she was about to open the door when she saw Benjy shivering at one corner of the porch in his jacket. She stared at him and he stared back at her weakly.

“Come in, you’ll catch a cold” she said and Benjy slowly got up and followed her inside.

Benjy was too numb from the cold to even talk to her. She quickly served him some hot cup of coffee and he sat on the couch drinking slowly.

“What do you want?” She asked innocently.

“I’ll cut to the chase, I know you harmed Eileen, I’m here to find out why you did it”

“Did what?” She feigned innocence.

“Cut the crap woman, I know how good you are when it comes to using herbs and chemicals, that was why we hired you in the first place” Benjy stated.

Rosa smiled while taking off her disguise.
