Chapter 57; Connecting the dots

Mrs. Whyte interrupted them in the study.

“Cody, your wife is about to be induced and you’re here doing what exactly?” She said on top of her voice.

“Was on my way mom…”

“I walked in here to meet you chitchatting”

“That wasn’t it mom” Cody defended himself.

“Tia can you please get the drivers?” Mrs. Whyte said as she helped Cody get into some warm jacket and then wheeled him out.

When they got to the hospital Amaya and Dylan were still there. Cody without saying a word to anyone wheeled inside the room. Nina lay on the operating table her eyes watching the roof she was in tears. Cody went to her side and held her hand, she turned her head to look at him.

“Don’t cry, honey… listen to me you’re going to be fine”

“I’m scared… it’s not yet time… what if they don’t make it?” Nina sobbed.
