Chapter 25: Derrick leaves town

Lily hit Derrick's head with the bedside lamp sending him into a state of unconsciousness. This action triggered a memory recollection for Derrick from his childhood. His father killed his childhood friend Jessie.

"Son, what do you mean? Is that how to talk to your father?" Mr Mingle said irritated.

Derrick inhaled deeply to calm himself down. He got off the bed and walked towards the window and turned to look at his father. Mr Mingle got up from the chair placed next to Derrick's bed and sat on the sofa

"Father, promise me you will tell me the truth?" he said and walked towards his father.

"What truth?" Mr Mingle asked curiously.

Derrick sighed and decided to go straight to the point sitting at the table and facing his father.

"Why did you shoot my friend Jessie?" Mr Mingle turned pale.

"He remembered, fuck, how did he remember?" Mr Mingle thought to himself but composed himself immediately before his son detected anything amiss.
