Chapter 34: Aunty Nora is Acting Strange

Derrick was looking out the window of his office. He could see the street, the cars and the people going about their business. He stood there for a while still thinking about what transpired between him and Lily. He later returned to his seat to complete his work for the day. Meanwhile back in John's office, Lily was going through her duties and what she needed to know with John as her guide.

She was a bit distracted thinking about Derrick's behaviour towards her.

"He actually fired her. He was kicking her out", were the thoughts running through Lily's mind.

John realized Lily was absent-minded, he called out to her;

"Lily, are you paying attention?"

John's voice interrupted her thinking. She forced a smile and said;

"Please forgive me. I was a little lost. Can you please repeat what you just said now?"

John sighed

"If you are thinking about Mr. Mingle firing you, I will say, don't take it to heart. For as long as I have worked in this company I have never seen the boss fire someone
