Ashina's Quest: Chapter 16
Conri and I were in our room, and I thought of something that I really needed to do... like, now. I said, "I need to go back and see Queen Eden and Queen Lakelyn." Conri said, "Why?" I said, "This is my chance to find out how to reach the Fae high court and the leaders of the fairies and Centaurs." He said, "Well, let's go." We walked back to the sitting room and they were still visiting with Queen Nina. I walked into the room, and sat by Queen Nina. I said, " I have a question for you ladies, and I'm really hoping you can help me." Queen Eden said, "You are continuing your mother's quest to unite species, aren't you?" I smiled and said, "I am. I would like to meet with the Fae High Court, the leader of the Fairies, and the leader of the Centaurs. I believe all of them would be powerful allies."

Conri and I walked into the castle, and I was still furious. Conri said, "Why don't we eat dinner, then we can take mom and dad into dad's conference room and call your dad from there." I stopped and put my hand on Conri's cheek. I said, "If there is one thing you need to know about me, it's this; when I get this mad, I can't eat. I need to punch or kick something or someone. You go ahead and eat. I'm going to work out some aggression, so that I don't take it out on someone who doesn't deserve it." He smiled and said, "Damn, my badass mate and her ways. Will I ever get used to them? Probably not, but I will have fun trying." I laughed, "I'm going to change and go to the gym. I will let you know when I'm done." He kissed me gently and said, "I would love to eat you; I mean with you this evening. Try to make it quick?" My thighs clench tight at his purposeful slip-up and I said, "I will try. You don't want me staying this angry; I promise." He said, "Okay. I will let you work it out."

Conri and King Fenris laughed as I said, "Beyond pissed. I took the ladies who are guarding me, and we went to my new gym. By the way, thanks for that dad. I've already knocked Conri's brothers on their asses." Mom and dad laughed as I said, "I think you guys are going to be safe. For some reason, they are after me." Mom said, "Unfortunately, I think this may be another one of your trials." I said, "Well, tomorrow, I am meeting with the leader of the Centaurs to form an alliance. Queen Eden has told me that she can take me to meet the Fae High table and Queen Lakelyn has offered to take me to meet the Queen of the Fairies." Mom said, "When you get to the Fairies and the Fae, call on Selene. They will want that sign of status." I said, "That's what I was thinking too." We all decided that the four guards around me is plenty, but they would also stay around me when I'm with Conri. I woke up, looked at the clock, and it was my usual five am internal alarm. For some reason, it doesn't matter how late I stay up, I never sleep later than five am. Well, except yesterday morning. I tried to just get out of bed, but I was held down by a huge arm that was flung over my ribs. I chuckled as I lifted it gently, to be able to get out of bed, without waking my mate. As I was training the warriors, I noticed Conri trying to do some of the moves that I was teaching the warriors. I paired up with Conri and started showing him the proper technique. I moved to strike him, and he dodged it by leaning backward and then turning to grab me from behind. He yelled, "Warriors dismissed!" as he threw me slightly into the air and turning me around to face him, then threw me over his shoulder. I started kicking and acting like I was struggling, although I really did like this playful side of him. He took me into the castle and continued carrying me like that until we were in our bedroom.
