Ashina's Quest: Chapter 61
I woke up this morning to the most exciting and terrifying thought of my life. Tomorrow is my wedding! I am excited and anxious and scared to death all at the same time! Conri is definitely the love of my life. He keeps telling me that he's loved me since we were ten years old, but I never have gotten to tell him that I fell in love with him at about the same age. I don't even remember when it happened or how I realized it. I just always hoped he would be my mate. Which is why I was so happy to reject Mike. The guy was a fucking idiot. My Conri, my Prince, is a thousand times better; in mind, body, looks and heart. I know there are not many men who would've stuck by me when I was paralyzed. I also know that, if they had stuck around, they wouldn't have taken the time to research ways to cater to me, without making me feel like a burden on them. Conri has always treated me as his equal and no less. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I will never take it for granted... ever.

After the reception, Conri and I slipped into Sylvie's nursery, said goodbye, and we left for our honeymoon. To say the honeymoon was amazing would be an understatement. So, I'm sitting on one of our garden chairs, watching our children play. It's so hard to believe that five years ago we were handed this sweet little girl who, literally, put peace in our hearts. Wow. Just wow. That is all I can seem to say these days. My triplets, Jack, Josh, and Brianda are already thirteen years old. Niki is fifteen, Luna is sixteen, and Caleb and Kurt are seventeen now. It’s crazy how time flies. Sylvie is now eighteen. She first shifted at sixteen, and still hasn’t found her mate, but we knew that It’s going to take an extra strong mate to be able to handle her omega powers. There have been several attempts to take her, but she has done very well at defending herself. It also doesn’t hurt that we now have assigned two more bodyguards to her.
