Chapter 19
I started to call my dad's usual number, then remembered that they both have new phones with new numbers. Gabriel added all the new numbers to mine and Kayla's phones, and I called my dad.
M: "Hey dad! We just got to the pack lands. It's beautiful here"!
D: "Honey, you may need to stay there a while. Dakari is going ape shit. He nearly killed Adam because he rejected you. I think he's pissed that he can't find where you went".
M: "That makes no sense! Adam told me that he didn't want to reject me, but his dad was making him".
D: "I know. Adam is in the pack hospital and your mother is taking care of him. Adam is telling your mother to tell you that you won't be safe here until his dad steps down or dies".
M: "He's not planning on killing his dad, is he?"
D: "He's not planning it, but the time may come when he has to defend himself".
M: "Okay. Well, I guess that's all he can do if he wants the pack's loyalty when he takes

After five months of being here in Cold Springs Pack, Kayla and I had learned all of our powers and Zayna told us there will be more, but those would come when we need them. It has only been a month since the announcement was made, but Kayla and I are feeling more and more like this is our pack. We love everyone here and they love us in return. Our warriors have learned a lot of new techniques for fighting, and Gamma Josh has been having them practice, with us trying to stump them with magic. At one point, I used my powers to split the earth shallowly beneath them, and they learned a technique for using that to their advantage. As time went on, Kayla and I could feel our strength growing. We are now able to use our magic all day and feel exhausted at the end of the day. We can also tell that the strength of our magic has grown exponentially.
