CXXV. The Ally of Grant
Although Grant's call was all terrifying already inside his office, his aide were wise enough to contain the noise to prevent an issue from spewing out within the conglomerate system. Although they have already gotten used on Grant's strictness on Oneil, the current situation cannot be stopped with mundane excuses.
Niana entered Grant's office, worried on how her grandfather is fuming in anger. Grant looks at his grandniece as if he found his best ally only to speak out how angry he is at Oneil. He immediately asked her where Oneil is.
"He went to Pierre to inspect the development of our new tower," Niana answered.
"Call him for me. Tell him that he needs to return right now."
Niana could only nod and hope that this will not escalate to something worse. It seems like she cannot even meddle Grant's anger with whatever topics she can have right now.

Essi knows the likes of Oneil in terms of dealing their own problems. That is why she had for sometime believed that they could be in sync, because they tend to solve their problems first before telling it to others or attend their emotional breakdowns. She doesn’t know why but she knew it in him very well, that he also wishes to still not look weak in Essi’s eyes. But how can she not help him when she found him in his sad state upon returning to the house? He’s exhausted after chasing for a job.
