Chapter Fifty-Eight

There was tension in the air as we made our way out of the azure territory with Sophia in the lead. She was stealth, moving with accurate precisions, her footsteps barely making a noise. The white pack was quiet, the deadly type of quietness, and it alarmed me even more.

Sophia stopped walking once we got to the trail that led to the blood moon pack. The trail was filled with an army of werebies scouting the area with Iblis in the lead. My heart skipped a beat, and I didn't miss the way Sophia's body quaked as she fell to the floor.

"You both should bend, rest your back against the wall, we don't want them catching us," she advised.

Lucan and I did exactly as she ordered, reclining to the grass floor with our back against the wall. I held the pair of nunchucks tightly in my hand, and the bottle of herbal concoction which Sophia had helped me with was wrapped safely underneath my cloak.
