Chapter Forty-Two

After Canary dropped her bombshell on me, I could hardly even blink. I was in shock, wondering how two women could be together. It was something I'd never heard of before.

My mind flashed back to Canary and Tyra, and seeing the two of them together, I couldn't deny they both had chemistry together. They were close, that I knew, and amongst the warriors they interacted enough.

"You're not saying anything, Annalisa," I was shaken out of my daze by Canary. Her brown orbs penetrated me. "You've been quiet for almost an hour."

I shrugged, regaining my composure as I stood up from where I crouched. Canary followed suit, standing up straight. "I don't know what to say to you," I admitted. "I'm just trying to fathom the possibility of a woman being with another woman."

Canary eyes were the softest I'd ever seen as she looked at me. "But you're not disgusted at me, right?" She looked hopeful as she waited for a response from me. "Right?" She pressed.

"No," disgust wasn't part of the emotion
