Chapter Twenty-One: Good Dog

"Jaxs POV"

Its pushing close to a week later. Her scent just diappeared. They vanished into thin air with a cloud of smoke. I tried to get up and run to her but I couldn't reach her. Anger consumes me and I slam my fist into the wall, blood oozes from my knuckles. I'm losing my mind without her already. This is my fault. I should have protected her. I can barely feel her. Every since that night my chest has ached. It burned in fear and pain. I know she is alive but nothing good is happening.

"F--K!!" I slammed my fist into the wall two more times, each hit sending bolts of pain through my arm. It numbed out quickly, blood trickling down my fingers. I have to find her. Walking out of my room, I slammed the door.

"Katies POV"

Time here had moved slowly, the Wizard had visited only once. One of his shadows entered the cell and removed my restraints, but after four days on the floor I was sore. I could barely move, the shirt they gave me barely covered me, it was caked in dirt and filth.
