Covered in Blood

Leah was so confused, how could Jerome be free from all charges of money laundering after everything he had done. He even had the strength to throw his adoptive father into prison to covered all his mistakes. Was money controlling all of this?

"Beep beep!!!"

The horn sounded loud, startling Leah who was crossing the street. "I'm sorry!" cried Leah, half running across the crosswalk. "Stupid tourists!" shouted the driver of the car and then stepped back on the gas pedal making the car go fast.

Several people looked at Leah with annoyed looks, Leah covered her face with her hair and she hurriedly walked out of that place. She felt very hungry, but she had no desire to eat. Her mind was on Mindy, would Mindy be okay? And Suzy? What if Jerome took over the mental hospital where Suzy worked?

"Leah? Leah? Are you all right?"

A voice startled her. Leah squinted her eyes, for a moment she lost her focus because she was too dominated by her thoughts.
