Chapter 80

Lisa reached her home which had been abandoned, a small stone structure that had no sign of life, the only life there was the sound of the birds chirping in nearby trees. Lisa walked a few metres ahead and arrived at her friend’s home. Everything was as it used to be except for the newly built house close to the entrance.

Suddenly Lisa head her name being called from inside the house which looked new, it was the voice she knew too well, she could never forget her, Shirley. Shirley had spotted Lisa through the glass window and couldn't mask the excitement she felt, it had seemed impossible to meet after they had moved out several years ago. Shirley ran outside and hugged Lisa so tightly as she called out her name.

"Is that really you Lisa, I can't believe it," Shirley said breaking away from the embrace. Lisa had a confused expression on her face, she couldn't believe that it was the same Shirley she had known years back.

"Why do you seem surprised, do you think I've changed so much?"
