“That was a good game,” Alaster humbly said, Josh crying over the last of his ownings falling into Alaster’s very thick pocket.

“It was about time.” Alex, who’d lost right after Amber, rolled his eyes.

Josh stretched his back, the crackling and popping making him sigh in content. His butt had turned to stone from sitting on the carpeted floors for 2 hours, his eyes blurry and god he never wanted to see a monopoly board again.

Alaster wore a casual smile, a taunt to the three that had succumbed to his cruel hand. Amber, who had been the first to lose, straightened her slumped figure, eyes growing with sudden interest.

Before a third game could be suggested, the front door opening drew their attention. Luca and Griffin had just returned from their inspection of the territory and it seemed that more than an inspection had taken place whilst they had been out…
