Book 4: Thirty one

Sasha parked in front of Friendly Zero, the new club that Janet insisted that they must attend as she has always wanted to check it out but didn’t want to go alone. She pulled down the visor and checked herself one more time on the mirror and pushed it back up. Then grabbing her clutch and phone, she killed the engine and climbed out of the car.

She was the first to arrive among her friends and she loved that, for once she would be the one complaining of them keeping her waiting. It wasn’t long, she saw Janet pulling in and she grinned at her. Janet laughed seeing that and immediately after parking, she got down and went to her. “What is the matter Sash, why are you here already?”

“Do you know how long I have been waiting?” she pretended to be angry.

Janet laughed, “good for you, at least for once, you will be the one waiting.”

Sasha grinned and glanced at the club door where two bouncers were attending to the long queue, “are you really sure we can get in there?”
