Gary stopped the car in front of an abandoned warehouse. He stared at it and glanced back at the man sitting in the backseat that has been staring at his phone since he got into the car. “Are you really sure we shouldn’t have come with the police.”

Michael heaved a sigh, his gaze not leaving the family photo that was his home wallpaper. It was taken in the zoo, the first time he was able to join them. Sapphire was holding a really big cotton candy and grinning. Christopher as always preferred not to take anything and just stood beside his mother with a soft smile. Sasha was grinning like Sapphire, she too was holding a cotton candy, while he, he just had his arm around her shoulder and his other hand placed on Sapphire’s shoulder to keep her from running away and his eyes were on Sasha as he was wearing a soft smile like his son.
