CHAPTER THREE

It's Levi’s Birthday, and year after year, no one saw him on his birthday. It seems like this year was going to be different. Bethany Carter was looking for just the perfect opportunity to thank Levi Gomez for all his help and support toward her. What better time than his birthday? She arrived early at his, with a bottle of his favorite wine and a thank you card. 

“Surprise! Happy Birthday Levi Gomez”, she says softly with a smile as she hands him the bottle. 

“Thank you, Miss Carter”. 

For the first time, she saw him smile. At the time, she was already becoming attracted to him, but he showed no emotion. His stoic personality gave no information about his feelings. She had found herself drawn to him but kept wondering if that was good for their business relationship. After his birthday party guests had started to depart, Bethany found herself alone waiting for her driver to pick her up. The air was charged with the energy of the celebration and at that moment their eyes locked, a shiver ran through her spine and Levi felt a rush of emotions and he leaned in and kissed her, a tender kiss that held a lot of promises and at that moment beneath the starlit sky he  couldn’t imagine not being around such an amazing person so he decided to ask her something very important ``Would you be mine, Bethany Carter?´´ She just couldn’t believe he felt the same way she felt about him, her face lit up and she replied ´´Yes of course´´

The more he tried to hold back, the more he became attracted to her, he couldn’t understand what was happening to him. That wasn’t part of the plan, as it seemed like the beginning of his Love story with Bethany marked the end of his revenge mission on the Carters' as he couldn’t bear to keep hurting the one, he loved. This transition was difficult for Levi, one he never imagined would happen with the degree of hate and resentment he felt towards the Carters as he blames them for his family’s misfortune. He wished he could stop himself from feeling how he felt, but he fell hopelessly in love with her each passing day. He had gone too far to stop but couldn’t find that burning desire to continue. ``How would I tell her my mission was to destroy whatever remained of the Caters family? I don’t want to hide anything, but she wouldn’t want to be with me if she knew the truth, what do I do? ´´ Never had he felt that way before, he decided to leave in the moment and enjoy his newfound love.
