CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

“I told you that woman was putting on an act,” Levi said sounding very furious. He dropped his phone on

the table and sat on the bed while he tried to unbutton his shirt.

“What did he say,” Bethany inquired as she rushed to him.

“That witch woke up halfway to the hospital, said she was okay and didn’t need to see the doctor”.

“What? That woman is so sly. How dare she do that? She ruined the party for everyone, and to think I

even felt sorry for her?” she said in utter disgust as she still couldn’t believe Natalie will go that far to

hurt them.

Lisa paced up and down the room, and frequently looked at the clock. She tried to put a call across to

Natalie, but her phone lines were unreachable.

“Where could she be? Maybe I should have followed them. No, she asked me not to get involved. What

do I do? Her numbers aren’t even going through.”

As she paced and soliloquized, thinking of her next line of action, the doorbell rang.

“Ding Dong…”

“That should be Natalie; she rushed to the door to
