Chapter 18: The Escape

"Will you stop for a second!" Nicolas screamed at De Mario.

The death of De Mario's wife and his fall, have built hate, self-loathing, and wallowing in his mind. So he turned and replied to Nicolas in a very rude manner.

"What do you want to say...hmmm? What will you possibly say? That you're sorry, that you called several times? Oh, come on! Enough with this nonsense and leave me alone. I don't want to see you ever again! Look here Nicolas, I lost everything so let me be."

Nicolas refused to back down, stepping closer to De Mario,

"Look I know you're not going to like what I want to say or even going to trust me again. But come on man, there are still second chances. I'm Bruno's most trusted man. We can still go back and take him down for good, come on, man," Nicolas said persuasively trying to make De Mario see the reason why he doesn't have to give up now.
