Chapter 96

Jason smells something wrong with Tamara. There was a strange odor that he smelled as she approached. A scent he'd never breathed from her during their time together.

This wasn't the typical Tamara scent that Jason had come to recognize. But what was this smell?

"Are you drunk?" asked Jason, trying to pry the woman out of her without revealing the purpose of his question. Jason wasn't about to believe that Tamara was no longer with Jared. And that baby ... why would Jason want to meet Tamara's baby?

After all, Jason once thought that the baby was his. So it couldn't hurt if he tried to get to know his niece, right?

"Are you sure that you're not with Jared anymore? What about Thomas?" Jason prodded.

Tamara shook her head.

"We're still together but not as intensely. I'm back in my old house, Jase. And that apartment near your office, I sold a long time ago."
