Chapter 103 - Embarrassing Conversation

The four adults were taken aback by the child's question. They underestimated the child’s understanding about the situation and they were rendered speechless for a few moments before one of them could answer. 

“No, sweetie, Uncle Graham isn’t mad at mommy,” Christine answered when she regained her composure. 

Graham also recovered from the shock and seconded, “Yes, sweetie, how could I be mad at your mommy, she is Uncle Graham’s dear friend,” Graham said, putting emphasis on the last two words ‘ dear friend’. 

Marty did not miss the fact that Graham put emphasis on the last two words 'dear friend'. Marty frowned because he knew that Graham still had a thing for Christine. Nevertheless, he remained calm because he did not want to exacerbate Christine's gloomy mood considering that her day was spoile
