A few seconds elapsed and Cassandra did not fall.
“Open your eyes, everything is fine.” Graham caught Cassandra in the nick of time.
He pulled Cassandra up and pressed her head into his chest. Cassandra could feel Graham's strong heartbeat.
“Graham? What are you doing here?”
“Well, I was invited. You don’t want to see me here. Do you?”
“Thank God you're here.” Cassandra whispered.
“I made the right decision to come here.” Graham

"Well, I wasn't expecting this. So, I didn't prepare a speech. Please bear with my sloppy speech." Cassandra chuckled and a roar of laughter from the audience reverberated the hall. When the audience quieted down, Cassandra continued. "My father once told me that flowers bloom when showered with care and love. A person surrounded by love will also bloom like a flower. I am what I am today because of the people who loved me unconditionally. I won't mention your name one by one, you know who you are. I love you and cherish you all." Cassandra bowed and left the podium. The audience gave a round of applause and appeared to be satisfied with her speech. Graham held Cassandra's hand as she descended. Jealousy filled Marty's heart. Jeremy spoke to stop the argument. In view of the fact that Jean is also pregnant, Jeremy did not want her to get upset because it would not be good for Jean and her baby."Fighting and blaming each other won't make the situation any better'." Jeremy proceeded."Aren't we going to take her to the hospital?" Jeremy asked Graham.Graham carried Cassandra in his arms, strode to his car and drove off to the hospital. Cass
"Hey, let's celebrate" Jeremy blinked back his tears. "Indeed, let us celebrate!" said Grace. All heads turned towards Grace. Cassandra's eyes lit up when she saw Grace. "Miss Grace, you are here," Cassandra said enthusiastically, walked into Grace and hugged her. Grace hurriedly drove off to the countryside when she learned from Corrine that Cassandra had spoken. "Cassandra, did you know that your movie was a huge box office hit?" Cassandra glanced at her friends. Cassandra's friends, including Graham have all nodded concurring with what Grace said.
Five years later. "Mr Jacobs, it's such an honor for you to visit me here." Justin grinned, Marty looked coldly at Justin. "Have a seat, Mr Jacobs." Marty sat and said "I have come here for our collaboration. I have some questions regarding the designs." "Oh, you want to talk to the iron lady." Justin lifted his eyebrow. "Yes, I want to talk to her." Marty's curiosity was piqued hearing the "Iron Lady". He wondered why she was called the iron lady. '"It's one thing I can't guarantee Mr Jacobs. The Iron Lady never met anyone who requested to meet her. Even those who are under her tutelage never met h
"Not a thing." Christine shrugged her shoulders. "Speaking of the devil" Corrine said, her eyes were wide like a saucer Cassandra and Jean looked in the direction Corrine is looking at. Marty walked in with a gorgeous lady clasping his arm. He was whispering in the lady’s ears and the lady smiled charmingly. Christine thought that the lady looked familiar to her. Christine looked away and busied herself slicing her steak. She couldn't care less what Marty does with his life. "That scumbag, he hasn't changed. I heard that he ditched Alexia, 3 months after they moved to the US." Corrine furiously sliced her steak as if it's Marty's face. "And now, he's with another woman. I am glad he didn't m
At the end of a few seconds of silence, cries are heard in the woods. "Let's get out of here." Marty held Christine's hand and started walking. Christine pulled her hand and followed Marty as she limped. "Ouch!" Christine bent over to massage her swollen ankle. All of a sudden, her body was lifted. Christine was shocked that Marty carried her in his arms. "Put me down, I can walk." Christine tried to get down. "Don't be childish" Marty spoke coldly. Christine's body was rigid as a wooden block in Marty's arm. She held back from relaxing on Marty's arms. "Tell the driver your address." Marty closed his eyes as he laid his head on the backrest. Christine glanced at Greg and said, "35 Ravenhill." Marty looked incredulously at Christine. The car halted in front of Christine's mansion. "Thank you, Mr Jacobs." Christine opened the car door, as her right foot touched the ground, she was suddenly lifted. She gasped upon realizing she is in Marty's arms again, "Hey, put me down." C
Why did Graham leave her after getting her pregnant? Who is this lover they're referring to? And why did Christine keep it secret from her daughter? Those are the questions that he wants an answer to. He tossed and turned on his bed until he was asleep in the wee hours and woke at 6 am. As he opened his eyes, he remembered Christine’s swollen ankle. He came out of bed and picked up his phone. “Hello, Mary, can you come to my house at 8 am today. I need you to see a patient. ” Marty said while he opened the curtain and gazed at Christine’s villa. “What happened?” “Ankle sprain” “Alright” Marty tossed his phone on the bed a
For five consecutive days, each morning Marty together with Mary shows up at Christine’s villa. Despite telling Cassie not to bring Marty to her room, the little girl seems to turn a deaf ear. Not wanting to embarrass herself again, Christine wakes up early and waits in the living room for Marty and Mary’s arrival. Marty was taken aback to see Christine sitting on the sofa in the living room. "Did you come down on your own?" asked Marty coolly. “Yes, Mr Jacobs. It's just a sprained ankle so I can still get down without needing anyone else's help." Christine wasn't looking at Marty the whole time she was talking, but her eyes were on Mary, watching her reaction. Christine is rather disturbed because she cannot obtain an answer from Mary's stoic face.
