Justin laughed, everybody in the company is scared of Christine but not him. While Christine may appear intimidating, she did not intimidate him at all.
“Alright, I’ll just order a takeaway meal from your favorite restaurant and eat here.” Justin dialed the restaurant's number.
Justin proceeded to the couch after ordering food. He and Marty discuss matters concerning their cooperation. Christine didn't join them, she was convinced that Justin could take charge, besides, she doesn't want to talk to Marty.
Within half an hour, their food came in. Justin set the table and walked towards Christine.
“Let’s eat,” Justin said.
"I'm not hungry," Christine said, with her eyes fixed on the documents she holds.
"Do you want me to notify the love of your life that you're skipping lunch?" Justin smiles.
Marty’s body was tense hearing Justin use ‘Christine’s lover&r
“Mommy, Uncle Marty is already waiting downstairs” Cassie enthusiastically informed Christine, who is still dressing up.“Alright, sweetie, give me a moment, I’ll come down after getting dressed.” Christine grudgingly donned her skinny jeans and sneakers. She had enjoyed a few days respite from Marty’s annoying presence, but now she’s going to tolerate his presence for the sake of Cassie. She had somewhat regretted making a promise to Cassie at that moment.Coming down the stairs, she saw Cassie sitting on Marty’s lap giggling as they watched a video together. The father and daughter were a sight to see. Christine's heart was touched by Marty's loving attitude toward Cassie, although he doesn't know that Cassie is his daughter. Christine had tear pooled eye
"Yes." Christine answered, she doesn't feel good about confusing her daughter's vocabulary. Marty didn't like Christine making Cassie a dimwit. However, knowing that Christine was already annoyed Marty refrained from correcting Christine. “Mommy, you said I looked like my daddy, why did Aunt Cindy say I look like Uncle Marty?” Cassie asked, Christine’s heart thud. Christine managed to wear a facade of indifference, dismissed Cassie’s question and said, “Sweetie, aren’t you excited to see sleeping beauty, Cinderella and Belle?” "I want to see them, mom." Cassie clapped and giggled, Christine was relieved when she was able to distract Cassie. Marty was pondering while they walked towards the entrance of the the
"What did you discover?" Doctor. Douglas asked. “She is my cure.” "How can you be so sure". “My body responds to her even without physical contact.” “How about other women?” "I feel disgusted to think about touching other women or getting touched by other women." said Marty. "Have you ever tried touching another woman?". “Yes” “What happened” “But I could not bring myself to touch another woman, I feel like puking” “How about when
"She's AB negative," Graham responded.Marty looked at the doctor and said, "We share the same blood group"A nurse collected Marty's blood sample to carry out a range of screening tests. After confirming that Marty has no infection and that he has the same blood type as Cassie, they proceeded with the blood transfusion.Just when Marty came into the operating theatre, the other operating door opened and Christine was wheeled into the ICU."Doctor, how is she?" Graham asked, Graham was in agony watching Christine lying unconscious on the bed.“The patient is now out of danger, but we still have to monitor her closely to ensure that everything is fine.” The doctor said and went into th
"When will mommy wake up? I want a hug from mommy." Cassie said and Marty's restraint was broken at that time and tears escaped his eyes. "Daddy, why are you crying? Is mommy dying?” Cassie asked worriedly and tears gathered her eyes. "No, no, sweetie, she isn't going to die. Mommy won't leave us. " Marty said, as he stroked Cassie's back. The father and daughter stepped out of the ICU when the nurse came in to check on Christine and told them to leave. Marty took Cassie to his villa after being discharged from the hospital. Cassie looked around trying to take in her new surroundings. She had never been to a new and unfamiliar place without Christine. And that made her uncomfortable. "Do you
"Please, don't take her away from me. I am going to die if you take her away from me. Please, I am begging you." Christine said in between her sobs. "Who said I am going to take her away from you?" Marty asked as he stroked her back to calm her. "Won't you take her away from me, will you?" Christine said, she looked up and looked into Marty with pleading eyes. "No, I'll never do it. You're her mother, Cassie will hate me if I take her from you." Marty said, he wiped Christine's tears out with his thumbs. He didn't like to see Christine in tears, it’s his weakness. "Don't be anxious, it won't help in your recovery. You must recover quickly because our little Cassie missed you..." Marty said,
Cassie shrieked with joy, she was so overjoyed to see her mom had finally awakened from a coma.Christine turned her head, “Cassie, sweetie.” her vision became blurry as tears gathered around her eyes. For two weeks she had been lying unconscious in the hospital, she couldn’t imagine herself away from her daughter that long. Over the last five years, she had never left Cassie, a day without seeing her daughter was almost unbearable to her.Graham put down the bowl on the nightstand and took a tissue to wipe the corner of Christine’s lips. Marty’s body tense up, he’s agitated to see Graham is being intimate with Christine. He walked towards Christine and lowered Cassie so she could hug Christine. As Christine and Cassie hugged each other, Marty leaned over and kis
Three hours later, Cassie woke up from slumber. Cassie smiled as she saw Christine staring at her. “Mommy” Cassie whispered and hugged Christine. “I missed you, mommy.” Christine brushed Cassie’s soft hair with her fingers, “I missed you too, sweetie.” “Mommy, are you coming home now?” Cassie gleefully asked, her bluish - gray eyes were twinkling like the stars. Christine loved seeing her daughter's beautiful eyes. She's the love of her life, the very reason she put herself back together. Christine couldn't imagine her life without her daughter. "Cassie, darling, the doctor said mom will stay here for tonight, and tomorrow she can go home if all goes well." Graham explained it in ways Cassie
