Chapter 13 (part 1)
Shèngli froze instantly. He didn't think that revelation would come so soon. He wanted to confess it to Claire but in his own time.
He wanted to be sure that she also reciprocated, at least in part, his feelings. Feelings that he had jealously guarded for seven years.
The first time Shèngli had seen her, she was a petite chick, with two long braids and big eyes bordered by long eyelashes. She was wearing a shell-pink taffeta dress that harmonized perfectly with her bronze complexion.
