Chapter 15 (part 2)
"Well, look who's here." Someone had said in a dismissive tone, just behind Adam's back.
Hearing that voice, Adam had felt a shiver run down his spine.
He had turned with a feigned expression of carelessness to face the familiar voice. And found himself facing, in the flesh, the nightmare that had haunted his darkest dreams for the last few months.
Not to feel inferior to him, Adam had stood up. Although he was tall and fit, he realized for the first time that Shàng Wèi surpassed him in both height and muscle mass. Considering that he had two equally well-built boys at his side, he felt slightly intimidated but no less combative.
"Apparently, bad grass never dies." So he had said, looking at him mockingly.
"What's with the grass?" The boy next to Shàng Wèi asked.
"It's a Western expression." He had explained.
