“Hey” he said softly. “Hey” I responded and went to look back down at my phone. He covered my screen, to block my view. “Are you ok?” he asked, now completely full of concern. I looked up at him and nodded. “Yeah.” He made a face at me like he didn’t believe me. He nudged me again. It made me giggle. I looked up and over at Katie, she was playing on her phone, not even paying attention to us. He put his arm over my shoulder, and that made me look at him again. “You sure you are ok?” he asked. “Mhm” that was my response.

Saved by the hostess. Score. She had called my name, party of 3, right before he prompted me to talk more about if I am ok or not. I smiled and walked over to her. She made us follow her into he dining area, and to a table not a booth. That was fine with me. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to know who would sit next to me or across from me in a booth.
