"Sogro, don't worry. Clarice is already my wife, so I will take her place and show you my filial piety." Edward smiled respectfully, but within that smile was a hint of coldness. Robert took the check and left happily, and Edward then looked towards the main entrance. The smile on his face had completely disappeared, leaving behind a cold smile. He went up the stairs and arrived at the door of the room. He raised his hand and was about to open the door to enter when he heard quiet sobbing sounds from inside, making him pause for half a second before finally releasing his hand. He turned around, and as he was heading to the office, he saw Beatrice coming with a tray, heading towards the room.
