Her parents had alerted the police and immediately, they had come pouring in large numbers trying to get every information they could of Leo. Amaya's family wasn't one to mess with and the cops knew that who ever found Leonard, alive, will not lack in his entire life.
But Amaya knew better than to stay at home and reply cops who deep down, were up to no good.
She put on a little concealer, lip stick, perfume, she packed her hair into two pony tails one to the left, the other to the right and she left for school, leaving her bereaved parents and the cops behind.

My heart was drumming against my ribcage and my head throbbing against my skull as I dashed down the dark, wooden stairs.
