Chapter Twenty Four

The businessman had two Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk waiting - a dull red colour with two men in it and the other, the colour of the clouds, another two men in it - all four armed to their fingernails, waiting at the emporium's exit for the face in the picture each man held tensely, as they sat in the confines of the unique automobiles, waiting for him to pass through.

None of us had our driver's licence with us and I was the only one with some knowledge of the three of us. I got into the coachman seat, Sheryl sat in the backseat and Maisie, on my right. As I turned on its ignition, the new engine hummed to life with a collected, uniform buzz.
