Chapter 223 : Brindel Gonzalez's arrest you never thought would come through

Her eyes darted frantically around the street, her heart racing like a wild animal. The noise from the police car drawing closer sent a shiver through her, and her breath came in gasps. Without wasting any time, she continued to run, her legs pumping furiously.

"There's no way I'm going to that cage, no way, no way, no way," she chanted, her voice hoarse with desperation as she dragged herself down the street.

"I need a phone booth to make a call," she said as she scanned around, still not stopping.

She stumbled, her feet scraping against the pavement. Her slippers tore, and she fell heavily to the ground. She felt a searing pain as her body crashed to the ground. She winced in pain, her legs sore and her palms scraped. Her eyes squeezed shut as she lay there, her body aching all over. She groaned, trying to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through her head, making her fall back down.

"I won't let them have the last laugh at me. I will kill each one of them," she whispered, her voice shak
