"Hello everyone, thank you for reading another chapter. In this chapter, Karl returns after being away for a long time. In Chapter 49, during one of Brindle's flashbacks, she mentions Karl's name to Richard as she tried to win him back after deliberately leaving him because he was poor then and she wasn't ready for marriage. Karl's presence brings fear to Brindle because she worries her little secret may be exposed. See you all in the next chapter! Wait a minute, is Grandma Leta for real? She seriously needs a whip."
Liam sat quietly on the floor, taking slow breaths. Without a word, he stood up abruptly and made his way hastily to the exit door. "Where are you going, Liam, my boy? Talk to Grandma," Grandma Leta said as she followed him out. "Grandma, Anuskha, and Aditi will be here in the next 6 hours. Where are you going?" she shouted out. Liam paid no attention to her, heading straight to his carriage and driving speedily away. Arriving at the airport, he paced briskly around. "Victoria will be here in the next few hours," he muttered, continuing to move around breathlessly. After what felt like 24 hours, the announcement of the landed flight was made. Liam stood up from his seat, in high spirits, and walked to a flower shop, buying a bunch of roses. "I hope you forgive me for leaving you behind," he muttered as he smelled the roses. Without waiting much longer, he rushed to the arrival area to join the people who were waiting for their loved ones. After standing there for some time with
"Where are you going, Grandma Leta asked as she entered Liam's room. "Is everything alright, my love? Say something to Granny, talk to me, my love. You know I'm worried," she continued, knocking on his bathroom door. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry na. Forgive Granny for tricking you, huh? Say something, my love, hear me out" she pleaded, standing outside the door. The door opened, and Liam stood there with swollen, flushed eyes, looking emotionally drained and dressed in new clothes. "Are you going somewhere?" Grandma Leta asked, noticing his packed bag. "I'm going back to China," Liam replied, stepping out of the bathroom to grab some files from his drawer. "Why? You just came back this morning," Grandma Leta said, walking over to him. Liam continued picking up his files without saying a word. "Won't you say something to Grandma? What are you going to do there?" she asked, clearly worried, as she held onto him to face her. "I have to go look for her," Liam explained, kissing her foreh
''Sure I will help you see the CCTV''. "Pause it, pause it," Tina said as she leaned closer to watch the video at the moment when she was entering the building. "Can you replay it to 0.04?" she asked. "Wow, that was a great tactic over there," she said, smiling slightly. "She knew who I was... That was a fast move she played, whoever she is she is damn smart" Tina said, with her hands on her waist while nodding. She slowly looked down at the dress and gloves she held in her hands, shocked and frozen still, vividly recalling that day in the security room checking the CCTV... "This is the same dress," she murmured slowly, shock and disbelief washing over her, draining her energy as she grappled with the coincidence. She scanned around and spotted a red wig hanging loosely from a drawer. Walking closely to it, she took the red wig... Her heart raced with fear; this was the exact same wig the person wore in the footage. "She's the one all this while? How can this be possible?" Tina
"I just hope she doesn't come back to Canada ever again, at least not until I find out who was after her life," Rose said to herself as she moved around her room, arranging things and talking aloud. Suddenly, a knock on her door echoed through the room. ''Coming'' she shouted and walked towards the door. "Ahhhhh!" Rose screamed in fear, and the knocker also screamed, "Ahhhhhhh!" in response, equally startled. Rose quickly slammed her door closed, then opened it again, screaming once more, "Ahhhhh!" as she closed it again. Still in disbelief, Rose reopened the door cautiously and still saw Natalie standing there, she touched her "You scared me," Rose said, as she scanned around her surroundings before swiftly tagging her in the room. "What are you doing here in Canada, Natalie?" Rose asked, her voice breaking a bit. "Why are you acting like you're not happy to see me again?" Natalie replied with a slight chuckle. "Girl, come on, you know I'm always happy to see you," Rose said,
"And why do I have to move there, Director?" he demanded furiously, yet he breathed in the anger without trying to show it."Because there is a patient there who I think you can help," the chief doctor said as he signed. "I wanted to email you about it, but I thought, why don't I wait till you return so we can talk about it one on one," he added."What about the other doctors over there? There are great doctors in Canada and over here in this hospital who can help that patient too," he said, running his hand through his hair."I understand, but I believe in you, Doctor Liam. You've done it before, and I know you can help this patient recover quick, She needs the expertise only you possess," the Chief Director said, his shoulders sagging under the weight of responsibilities.Liam looked at him for a while. "What about my life here? I have to look for someone. I can't keep going away, else I might end up living the rest of my life without her," he protested, his voice breaking slightly a
Her voice took on a falsely sweet tone as she breathed out. "Hey, sorry I didn't tell you about my business trip. I got a call immediately after you left for your flight to the UK, and you know it's a big opportunity for me, so I didn't want to lose it," she said. After Richard spoke for some time, a mixture of grief evident in his voice, he told her what had happened."What?! You mean Tina is dead and gone?" she said, her lips curling with a cold smile. "How can this happen to her? Such a determined and hardworking young lady, what a cruel world we live in" Brindle said on the phone.Richard's voice trembled over the line. "I can't believe she is gone. She was more than a worker to me, she was family," he said."I can imagine what you're going through right now, and I'm sorry for not being around to support you," Brindle said."Thank you, I know you will, Brindle," he replied, his voice oddly calm. "And don't worry, I won't rest until I find out whoever is behind this. Justice will be
"I won't rest until I find out who was behind this, even if I have to fight everything to make sure justice is served. This is my promise to you," he said with a clear, trembling voice as he stood beside her grave."Thank you, thank you for everything, Tina," he muttered slowly. With his final goodbye, he gently dropped his flowers........ Quickly running into the room, Awwish she cried out in pain, clutching her stomach where her wound seeped open. Struggling to remain composed as she bent her head down, with a sharp intake of painful breath, she sank to her knees.Marko burst into the room shortly after she had entered, hastily rushing to her side. His eyes widened in alarm as he saw the condition she was in. Without a word, he disappeared and came back with a first aid box, beginning to clean and treat Brindle's wound with gentle but firm hands. She winced in pain as he tended to her injury. Standing up, he looked angry after treating the wound."When are you going to put a stop
Her heart beat faster as she found nowhere safe to run. The blaring horns sent a jolt of anxiety through her, while drivers urged her to leave the road so they could pass through. Flashes of their headlights pierced her face as she squinted against the brightness, her hands raised to shield her eyes from the piercing light. As people rush past her, jolting into her without pause or concern..."Madam, if you're not going to run for your life, leave the road so we, the people who value our lives more, can pass this way and run for our lives to safety!" one woman shouted out in anger at her as she carried her things on her head, trying to pass.Natalie stood up and quickened her pace, the chaos of the protest surrounding her as she weaved her way through the maze of cars and people."Richard glanced up, startled by the urgency in the man's voice.'Sir, you need to leave here before things get worse. It's not safe to stay,' one driver in his car said to him as he tried to turn his car and
