Two days later, Ash was still away, handling something Calvel called "important matters." Calvel returned alone and immediately restarted my self-defense training. With him, Nicor, and Amanda in their full teacher modes, my preparations for the upcoming Blue Moon Ball in the King's castle became extremely intense. Nonetheless, whenever I had a moment to think, my mind returned to the matter of Ash and Estelle's relationship.

Ash must have loved her. All the more, I wondered what made Estelle kill herself. The woman in my vision seemed strong and confident. I couldn't imagine someone like her breaking down and giving up on her life.

"Nala, you're not focused!" Calvel growled as I tried to punch the sandbag in front of me.

"I'm trying!" I swore. "It's just… I don't have the muscles to do that…"
