Hannah's POV
What did I ever do wrong? Why do I deserve this treatment? Am I not his wife?I thought as I fixed breakfast. Hastily adding the ingredients for soup, I picked the spatula and stirred the mixture.Gosh! He is sick and I am very worried something worse will happen. I don't even think that he is going to drink it.Reducing the heat, I let it boil for a while before bringing it down. Pouring the soup into a soup bowl, I carried his soup and utensils in a tray.Standing before his bedroom, I took a deep breath before knocking on his door."Come in!" He shouted back. I pushed the handle down and pushed the door. Lifting my gaze, I saw him lying against the bedpost with a computer in his lap. His phone was in between his ear and shoulder as he spoke to the person. He does not have a freaking shirt. Only a pair of sweatpants! Urgh! Someone catch me before I fall.I walked slowly, nearing his bed inch by inch. He sighed on the phone before muttering a soft 'hold on'." I brought you soup. You were coughing all night. I thought it might help you." I informed, tilting my head to the tray." Just place it on the bed." His voice dark and filled with anger. I slowly placed the tray on the other side of him, near the middle of the bed." I can take a off day for you if you want," I suggested, cautiously. " No, just go," He replied, picking his phone back up.Don't you dare cry in front of him!I turned away from him and walked away from him. I neared the door and turned to him. I opened my mouth to ask him if he needs any medicine but thought against it.I exited and closed the door behind me. Leaning against the door, I let the tears flow down my cheeks.I pushed away from the door, quietly sobbing as I entered my room. I changed to my jeans and a button-down. I picked up my doctor's coat and wore it.Throwing my hair into a messy bun, I closed the door and walked to the kitchen. I knew that no matter how much I wipe my eyes, the tears are going to multiply.I don't even want to eat.I picked my bag up and closed the door, leaving Matt to lock up. I walked up to the car to pause and look at it." Mrs. Young, are you ok?" Matt, my bodyguard asked me. " Don't call me that! Ok?! I am not Mrs. Young to anyone!" I shouted at him.He gave a sympathetic look before pulling me into a hug. " Matt, when will he accept me?" I sobbed into his shoulder, feeling his arms tighten." Shh, Hannah. It is fine. Everything will be alright." He pacified me, smothering out my hair. I sighed before slowly pulling away from him, feeling my heart pace faster. Tears continued to slide down my face." I am getting late for work," I muttered, hanging my head low. He nodded before opening the door for me. I slid in and shut the door. I pulled the seatbelt while watching Matt round the car.He entered the car and started the engine. The silence in the car was definitely deafening. I started looking out at the scenery going by. It only made me cry harder. I felt Matt's hand on my shoulder, a silent plea for me to stop crying. As we neared the hospital, I started wiping my eyes with a tissue, drying them. " Hannah, please stop crying. I can't bear to see you crying, Hannah." Matt pleaded." I don't want to live anymore, Matt. I just want to jump off a cliff or something." My voice sounded hoarse, my eyes welling up again." You promised me you won't do things like that. You remember that, don't you?" Matt reminded. I nodded as my promise flooded my brain." Now go and save some lives, Hannah." Matt patted my shoulder. I gave him a weak smile before exiting the car." I'll be out here if you need anything." He reminded. I nodded once more before shutting the door. I took deep breaths to ease my emotions and to push everything to the back of my mind.Once I entered, the head nurse gave me my schedule for the day. I checked when I had leisure breaks and when I had surgeries.Thanking her, I left for my daily rounds, checking on my patients before heading for my first surgery.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~That eveningDrinking coffee had me writing the last report of the day. " Hey, I am going to head home," I announced to my colleague, Joseph Mendoza. " Do you want to have dinner?" He asked politely, getting my attention."Umm... I don't know..." I stammered. " Come on, it's just dinner. Daniel doesn't care anyway. I promise I won't let anything happen to you. I'm very good at martial arts, you know" He joked, raising his eyebrows at meAt the sound of his name, my mood diminished into smithereens. I forced a smile and replied, "As if I would let you. I'm just tired, so maybe we can go on another day." I refused. He sighed before lowering his voice, " When are you going to make decisions for your own life? You can't let him rule your life, Hannah." He placed his hand on my shoulder." I can't just up and go, Joseph," I replied, moving my shoulder away from him. " Why can't you? You can move out, Hannah. He won't even object. I doubt he will even heed your words." He objected, pointing out a very good point." He will listen to me, Joseph. I won't even have to try to make him listen to me." I argued back. " Fine, Hannah. Do as you want. You don't want to listen to me then fine. I can't force you. But don't come crying to me when you are wrong." He stormed off, placing the clipboard with a 'thud'. I picked up my stuff and walked out of the hospital. The cold air slapped my face as if warning me the pain will worsen if it was the reality. I knew that what Joseph had said was true. I also knew that there would be no way for me to get him to listen to me.I walked towards Matt as the door opened. I slid in, still fazed by the fight. " Are you ok?" Matt asked, driving out of the parking lot." I am going to move out, Matt." My voice bounced off the walls of the car. The car jerked a stop in the middle of the road." WHAT?!" He exclaimed, his eyes widened hugely. " We are in the middle of the road. Move to the side." I warned him. He instantly nodded and shifted the car to the side." Why in the world would you want to move out?" Matt asked me, holding my shoulders. I shrugged his hands off before replying. " I can't take it anymore, Matt. I really cannot anymore. I have an old flat. I am shifting there, Matt." I reasoned with him." Hannah, moving away from the problem won't solve it." He advised to me. " You do know that I cannot divorce him. He barely gives a shit about me. So moving out seems to be the best option as of now, Matt." I turned fully to face him." What if your parents or his parents turn up? What would you do then?" He questioned, his eyebrow arching up." I am sure that they have the courtesy to at least inform him or me before coming over. If that happens, we will welcome them into his house." I answered, feeling heartbroken once again." Okay, okay. But how will you live in the cramped up place? It is not fit for anyone to live. You cannot possibly live there. Mr. Young will definitely not allow it." He shook his head." Do you really think that he will stop me, Matt? Because I don't think so. I had given up on him a very long time ago. The small piece of hope I had disappeared today in the morning. I cannot let my heart break any more than this, Matt. He isn't going to love me. He isn't going to know that I love him. He will never know." I whispered, my voice cracking." Well, if that is what you want." He finally agreed. He started the car once again and drove back home.To the house, not home. It never was home.We finally arrived in front of the mansion filled with lights. " When are you going to tell him?" He asked." Right now, Matt."Hannah's POVAs I walked in, I could see that Daniel had shifted to the sofa in the living room. Hearing the sound of me walking in, his head had not tilted up. " I need to discuss something with you." I started, removing my coat. " Is it very important?" He asked, typing away on his computer. " Yes, it is because you might not have another time to talk to me other than now." I snapped, removing my shoes. " Ok, what is it about?" He asked, finally looking up from the laptop screen. " I want to move out," I answered, a feather of hope flying in my heart. " This is what you wanted to talk about?" He questioned, looking back at his laptop. " Yes. I am going to move out tomorrow. I will bring my clothes along to work—" I barely finished before he started talking once again. " I am not going to stop you from leaving. Therefore, you do not have to explain to me how you are going to leave. I will call you when either of our parents calls." And with a wave of his hand, he dismissed me no
Hannah's POVAlmost a month has gone by. One freaking month. Still no word from him. My mind wandered as the nurse was asking something. " Dr Moore?" A faint voice sounded in my brain. " Umm yeah, you were saying?" I shook my head, trying to clear it. " I was saying that you killed a patient." She replied, her eyes gazing deep into mine." WHAT?!" I shouted. " I am kidding! Dr Moore, are you ok? Should I get Dr Joseph?" She asked, a smile peaking from her lips. " No no, I'm fine. What were you actually saying?" I asked, slightly hitting her head. " I was asking if you are going to turn up to the party at the club?" She asked, half pleading. I sighed, thinking of an excuse. " She'll turn up. Don't worry." Joseph shooed the nurse away. " I am not going," I replied, placing the diagnosis sheet on the table and started walking. " No, you are. I am not going to let you rot in that rotting dump of yours." Joseph warned, gripping my wrist. He's got to stop doing that." Can I have my w
Hannah's POVHe nodded, swearing to secrecy. "I have a problem." Those words alarmed him, his eyes widening."I have Androphobia. I get scared when I am near men. Especially if they are taller than me. I figured it out a few years ago." I whispered to him. "Wait, so you love your husband but you are scared of him?!" He shouted. " Shhh!" I shushed him. " Sorry. But I just can't put my head around it." He held his head low. "And the thing is, I am a doctor." A gasp sounded from him, loud enough to make a few heads turn around. I sighed, placing my head in my palms. "Is something the matter, Lance? Is this woman bothering you?" A new voice boomed behind me. I turned around to face the bouncer from the entrance, but much closer. He was threateningly close to me. My lungs started to disfunction. My breathing became sloppier. I started shaking slightly, out of fear. "Sean! Move away from her. You are scaring her!" Lance shouted and placed his hands on my shoulder to calm me down. But
Hannah's POV"Sean, I need you to do something for me. Pull your phone out and search for the damn museum hotline. Tell them we have a very rare species here." Lance exclaimed. Why am I even saying this to a person I just met? At least I didn't tell my darkest secret. Sean chuckled, hearing Lance groan. "I don't see how you've managed to keep men's hands off you," Lance grumbled. I was about to sigh but I stopped myself. I knew that Lance would say something about me sighing. "How did you get this fear anyways?" Sean's words caused my balance to waver. I was about to bring up an excuse when Lance's eyes widened. "Hannah, I think it is best you leave through the back door immediately. The Smith guy has a beeline towards you. Get going, we will talk some other time." He confirmed, before giving me a shove. I didn't waste time and started walking to the back door. I carefully avoided the Smith guy's gaze and exited through the back door. Closing the door, I leaned against it, tak
Hannah's POVNo matter how hard I try to forget him, it will never happen, will it?I sighed, thinking of some excuse. " I will get you another doctor." I turned to open the curtains but fingers wrapped around my wrist." Wait, I want to talk to you." He asked, slightly tugging me towards him. " I am sorry but I am busy," I replied, pulling my wrist from him. Before I knew it, I was turned around by my shoulders as I stumbled. He started to take small steps towards me." Please maintain your distance, Mr. Young. This is a hospital. If that is all, I have work to do." I replied and rushed out of the enclosed area.I walked back to the elevator and clicked on the number seven. The moment it stopped, I walked off it and back to the counter.I checked the nurse if I had any surgeries. She shook her head, my head dipping slightly low.I will just take a look at the patients then.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~" I really owe you, Joseph. You take the trouble of sending me home quite reg
Hannah's POVMy heart skipped a beat as his arms were firm around my waist." Let me go! You can't t...touch me!" I shouted. But my words seemed to be useless to him. I started to pant, trying to grasp for the oxygen in the air." I can't..." I stuttered, trying very hard to breathe. Black dots started to appear in my vision as my breathing got heavier. He had noticed it and stopped walking immediately. " Are you alright?" His concerned voice somehow reached my brain." Let me..." I stuttered once again. He instantly placed me down. My hand reached out to grab onto something before I fell down. I grasped onto the sofa as my breathing slowed. My legs seemed week as I wobbled. He neared me once again. I held my palm out to stop him." Don't come near me." I wheezed, taking in more air. By then, my throat was very dry. Finally, after a while of breathing, I was back to normal." Are you alright?" He repeated once again. " I think it is best if you leave," I suggested." I told you I won'

Hannah's POVI looked up at her almost dropping my fork and spoon." Umm..." I murmured as I thought of something to reply back to her. " Mum, we are not planning for children now," Daniel replied.I blew out a breath of air, silently thanking him for saving me. " But isn't it time for a kid or two to run around in the mansion?" She asked, directing her question to me." Mum, both of us are busy with our work. I don't think we can commit to having a child now," I replied, peering up at her cautiously." There is nothing wrong with taking some time off from work. Come on, you do know that I am getting older as the days go by. I would, of course, want to play with my grandchild." She informed."Mum, we have yet to discuss the topic of kids," I mentioned. " Hannah dear, it has been 10 months since both of you have been married. I think it is about time both of you give us some good news, don't you think honey?" She asked Dad.Dad contemplated giving an answer to Mum but decided against i
