On the other side, James dropped Milla off at her home.

When he stopped the car in front of her house, Milla nervously glanced at James, but his gaze remained fixed straight ahead, avoiding her. Milla recognized that look – she had seen it on Lucas's face when they were together.

He never used to be bothered by her presence. "Thank you so much for the ride," Milla said with a smile, but James simply nodded his head in response.

Feeling awkward, Milla quickly exited the car. As soon as she stepped out, James drove away without another word.
