In the VVIP hotel suite, Lucas emerged from the bathroom, having just showered, and his mobile vibrated with Alice's name. Anticipating her reply, he swiftly grabbed the mobile.

"I'm sorry, I was worried about my friend, so I left," read Alice's message.

Lucas seethed with anger as he read her explanation. In frustration, he tossed his mobile onto the bed and sat there, fuming.
