Alex drove Alice to her house, he couldn't overlook the sadness etched on her face. Sensing the internal turmoil, he cautiously broached the subject.

"Alice, are you okay?"

She met his gaze, her eyes revealing a blend of resilience and vulnerability.

"I will be, don't worry," she assured him. Alex turned his attention back to the road.

"If you need someone to talk to, I'm here. Don't forget, I'm always on your side," he offered sincerely. A small smile graced Alice's lips.

"I know that, thank you." Alex nodded, refocusing on the road ahead, silently providing support in the midst of her emotional storm.

The drive continued in a contemplative silence, the hum of the engine accompanying the unspoken thoughts between them. As they approached Alice's house, Alex pulled into the driveway, and the engine's gentle purr ceased.

Alex turned to Alice, a lingering concern in his eyes. "If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to reach out. I mean it."
