CHAPTER 35: Marry Me

I drop to my knees, the emotions building up inside me as I reckon our conversation. Lucius was pissed, gone was the gentle persona he saved up for me.

A tear slipped out of my eye and I angrily wiped it away. Morning came and it was down to only day one. Lucius was around — and when I say around, I mean he’s scattered around lots of women.

I’m pissed at him, but most of all, I’m pissed at myself from feeling such things. He’s not my boy toy, and maybe I loved the way he treated me. It was a different feeling I haven’t felt before.

And maybe it was selfish to feel such things. I loved the power I hold when it comes to him, it’s like holding an alive, beating heart in the palm of your hand and you decide when to crush it.

I’m planning to at least apologize for my behavior last night. He was right, it was an attitude even I’d never put up with if I was him. The timing just isn’t coming.

Night time drives past and I sigh as I stare at the worn out mirror in the Omega’s quarters.
