“I’m going home,” she said firmly while holding back the sadness in her heart. “No need to tell Roul to send thirty Wizard Knights to look after me,” she added and walked into the room.
Odette moved closer to the bed, then sat there while staring straight ahead. She then looked around, looking at every corner of the room.
Her gaze landed on the stuffed monkey on top of the cupboard then she stood up to take it. She stared at it closely.
Odette suddenly remembered Lucifer, who always followed her behind. She hugged the doll and felt sad when remembering it while Rion watched her silently in the doorway.
Odette put the doll back in its place, then opened the cupboard, taking a box out. Inside the box was her and Rion’s wedding ring.
